Hello and welcome to Sarah Kendall's official web page.
Sarah was first discovered by the Spanish in 1542, and she was a rich source of cotton and maize until well into the 20th Century. Although she prefers to be known for her stand up comedy, she is probably best known for her role in the 1939 classic "The Ice Follies", where she famously quipped "It hurts my knees when I fall over." The comment tickled American audiences, though European audiences were too busy with World War Two to notice.
Sarah enjoys a wide range of hobbies, though she isn't actually good at any of them. She likes boiled eggs and seeing brides' trip over on dance floors.
Gig Stuff
Having completed her solo tour of the UK and Europe, in August Sarah will be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where she will be performing her brand new show "My Very First Kidnapping".
The show is set in the year 1994, when Australia's most prolific serial killer was still at large. After a college initiation went wrong, Sarah and her friend were dumped for the night in his favorite hunting ground- the 40 000 square kilometers of Balangalo State Forest. With few other options, they hitched a lift with a volatile pig hunter with a shotgun. And yes, that wasn't a clever idea.
In a departure from her usual observational stand-up, Sarah is joined by two of Britain's leading young comic actors- Joanna Neary (Perrier Nominated Best Newcomer) and Justin Edwards (Perrier Nominee for Jeremy Lion)- who will be playing numerous characters, including Sarah's mother, a sadistic serial killer, and a poodle called Tessa.
The show is on at 8.55pm at the Assembly Rooms all through August.
